    The Headlines:

     

    In the role of People Development Manager working in Quebec you will be a member of the People Development team focusing on building organizational capability and business effectiveness through Learning & Development efforts. In this role you will be responsible for building capability and performance of staff across our Quebec distribution network through brilliant execution of soft and technical skills training.

     

    This position reports to the Sr. Manager People Development Canada and will work closely with Human Resources, unionized employees as well as various individuals and leaders from our supply chain organization.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    • Contribute to the formulation of training plans (including onboarding) for employees in our Distribution channel in the Quebec region. Which will need to meet both local and global requirements and standards.

     

      • Personally deliver soft and technical skills training (including onboarding), efficiently and effectively, in accordance with Global requirements and standards using supporting tools & programmes. Provide individual coaching as requested.
      • Perform thorough needs assessments to identify capability gaps, and work with extended team to develop solutions.
    • Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders within our Distribution channel to ensure training is supported and delivered. Use these relationships to capture training needs, gather and act on feedback and make continuous improvements to deliver the plan.
    • Support evaluation of the effectiveness of training, keep up to date & accurate training records as required, and supports all logistics and deployment plans necessary to ensure smooth running of training plans.
    • Provides support, input and Learning & Development tools as needed to build learning solutions and capabilities within People Development team.
    • Coach and manage a team of unionized learning specialists to ensure the highest quality of training is delivered to satisfy KPIs and compliance requirements.

     

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Related university or college degree in Learning & Development or Human Resources
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a learning capacity in a corporate setting with a focus on people development capability, including technical and soft skills training.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse/distribution function.
    • Experience in design, delivery and measurement of Learning and Development programs and processes.
    • Excellent project management skills, with a proven record of customer service from key stakeholders on projects
    • Understanding of change management principles and how to incorporate them into learning solutions.
    • Candidate must be bilingual (French and English).
    • As part of the recruitment process, the candidates will be required to provide consent to complete a criminal background check.
