The Headlines:


In the role of Projet Brewer working in either Montreal or Toronto, you will be part of the Industrial Services and Support Department. The purpose of this role is to support the project Brewing Lead in the production of deliverables of the brewing function in the new Quebec Greenfield Project including: request for tender, operator training, writing of operating procedures and process descriptions, brewing and engineering calculations, and design option decision analysis.


This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Brewing Engineering and Execution and works closely with the Brewing Operational Teams.


The Responsibilities:

  • Support preparation of brewing requirements (quality, scope, performance) for the Greenfield Project
  • Write process descriptions and standard operating procedures
  • Perform brewing and process engineering calculations to support the design
  • Participate in process hazard analysis and other risk assessment activities
  • Support project qualification activities (design, construct, install, commission, performance testing)
  • Responsible for defining equipment requirements, sizing, quality, process, layout, performance, recipes, operator interactions, and materials for the brewing section of the new brewery; and for ensuring that the requirements are implemented properly.
  • Make recommendations in the design process to support design decisions and help define how brewing processes are best performed and recommend equipment and process requirements.


The Other Qualifications:


  • Degree (Engineering or Life Sciences), Recognised Brewing Qualification
  • Intimate knowledge of Brewing processes, recipes, standards.
  • Excel , Word, technical writing, communication, understanding of brewing process engineering methods and practice, hygienic design principles
  • 2-3 years' work experience in brewing production environment, demonstrated strong self-management practices, work experience in a process engineering environment
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities. You act with appropriate urgency to various market events and trends that require a quick turnaround in plans and strategy
  • You have the analytical thought needed to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations
  • You are serious about delivering results, and take pride in a proven track record in delivering.
  • You are a motivated leader that can inspire others; you respect your commitments and are able to obtain optimal results from your team through respect and development
