    The Headlines:

     

    In the role of Manager for our Sponsorship & Events (S&E) working in Toronto, Ontario you will be part of the Canadian Sales and Customer Excellence team. The S&E Manager will support the national brand teams and regional sales teams by driving Molson Coors volume and building our brands by playing an important role in delivering unique and effective marketing programs surrounding the company’s sponsorship and events.   This role aids in setting the strategy of national and regional sponsorship activations.  This position entails the day to day leadership of key staff (1-2), multiple and overlapping marketing program management and contract management, as well as administrative processes.  The result will be creating the right opportunities for our team to create best in class branded consumer experiences that vocalize the brand positioning to produce ambassadors amongst the target market(s).

     

     

    This position reports to Rich Kuypers, Senior Manager, Sponsorship and Events and works closely with the Regional Sales teams and Marketing & Consumer Excellence teams.

    Responsibilities

    The Responsibilities:

    • Develop best-in-class consumer activations that leverage sponsorships and/or events and adhere to brand strategy; to drive Molson Coors business objectives across Canada.
    • Working together with marketing and brand teams to deliver programs that meet various business objectives and create affinity for the brands.
    • Build and manage business relationships with all key clients and key stakeholders through all functions at Molson Coors Canada and beyond.
    • Act as a consultant to any business channel (existing and new) on the development and potential success of proposed sponsorship, event, or marketing activation by drawing on insights based on past experiences.
    • Support execution of all National Sponsorship and brand activations and support National OP team with key customer programs
    • Provide ongoing direction and management to key S&E teammates. Ensure clear accountability & communication with Sales & Marketing partners
    • Liaise with all internal key stakeholders on an ongoing basis to ensure an excellent product that meets and / or exceeds the needs for corporate responsibility, risk management, legal affairs, procurement, etc.
    • Work with your team on an ongoing basis to ensure all programs are closed properly post execution (brand back sell, budget reconciliation, etc.) in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Management of 1-2 S&E Coordinators both at a project management and a people development level.
    • Working cross-functionally to ensure compliance and awareness of key Molson Coors policies, procedures and mandates while at the same time ensuring that activities and job functions carried out by S&E staff members are successful.
    • Provide tools and models of best practices to your team and work with departmental leadership team to strategically develop better more efficient processes. (i.e. Communication, Client Relations, Budget Management, etc.)
    • Manage all assigned program budgets from budget development, SOX compliance, management during the planning and execution and management of budget reconciliation through SAP.

    • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other relevant field;
    • You have at least 5 years' progressive experience in Event Management, Marketing or related industry
    • You have experience in administrative support functions in a fast pace environment
    • Candidates must currently have and maintain a valid driver’s license with no limitations/restrictions. You will be asked to provide us with a recent copy of an MVR (Driver’s Abstract)
    • As part of the recruitment process, the candidates will be required to provide consent to complete a criminal background check (if locally applicable).
