    The Headlines:

     

    In the role of Graphic Artist working in Toronto, Ontario you will be responsible for co-ordinating, designing art, adaptation, copy layout, production development of defined materials. Materials will be predominantly within the marketing creative & production sector and will include point of sale, OOH, sell sheets, corporate, branded merchandise, packaging, displays, etc.

    This position reports to Manager, Graphic Services and works closely with with other members of the Commercial team as well as other internal stakeholders in key functions such as Marketing, Innovation, Category Solutions and Sales.

     

    Responsibilities

    The Responsibilities:

    • Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials – referencing brand guidelines, supplied brief, stimulus. Then interprets that information with creative flair, originality and a strong visual sense.
    • Adapt hero creative and reference guidelines to produce extension elements for intended programs on appropriate templates.
    • Balance design with production boundaries to deliver and communicate the requested message in various output formats.
    • Creatively leads discussions and design rationale with stakeholders and colleagues on how to influence end consumer purchase intent through concept strategy.
    • Follows defined procedures ensuring all appropriate approvals are provided before release of final production files to appropriate output supplier.

    Qualifications

    The Qualifications:

     

    • You have a post-Secondary degree or diploma in Graphic Design or Graphic Arts
    • You have 5-10 years of graphic design experience
    • You are self-directed, motivated, and your time management skills are above premium.
    • You have graphic design skills, layout skills, customer focus, attention to detail, production skills, deadline-oriented, desktop publishing tools, acute vision, handles rejection
    • You can work well independently and within a team environment for larger projects.
    • If you have experience as a team lead and knowledge of 3D rendering programs is a plus.
    • You maintain technical knowledge by attending design and print workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies
