  • Overview

    The Responsibilities:

    • Monthly results scorecard and action plan summaries for Commercial meetings within Monthly Game Plan review cycle (Product Portolio Review, National Demand Review, Regional Demand Review - through Regional BI managers)
    • Works with analytical tools such as SQL, R, Python & Tableau & methodologies (including advanced statistics & machine learning) to bring together and interrogate multiple big data sets to deliver actionable insights & strategies to the business
    • Lead the development & execution of commercial analytics in areas such as Sales execution, channel solutions and trade spend effectiveness (non-price and promotion)
    • Development includes understanding modeling techniques, variable selection, transformation, application and continuous model refinement using supervised and unsupervised techniques
    • Work across multiple structured & unstructured datasets from disparate sources and markets
    • Lead the development and execution of custom analyses focused on quantitative methods
    • Adapt and roll-out analytical products or services from Global Strategic Analytics team, in Canada
    • Transform model results into insights to help stakeholders understand not only historical impact
    • but also make predictions of future returns and prescriptive recommendations
    • Develop and deliver action-oriented, insightful analytic presentations that provide consultative
    • direction to key stakeholders.

    The Other Qualifications:

    • You have a BS or BA in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Sociology, Finance, Computer Science etc.)-MBA, preferred (analytics, statistics, computer science or research focus)
    • You have 5 years of Market Research, Analytics or Commercial experience Proven ability to develop and run queries for data extraction and analysis
    • You are experienced in working with large datasets building, managing and interpreting complex predictive, statistical or econometric models
    • You demonstrate an understanding of multivariate statistics and analytical techniques (including ANOVA, Regression, Correspondence Analysis, Factor Analysis, PCA, Hierarchical/nonparametric analysis, segmentation)
    • You have excellent technical skills in Excel, SQL, R, Python, or other languages used in analytics
    • Your familiarity with SAS, SPSS or equivalent statistical software is unsurpassed
    • You have experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)
    • You are a master communicator who is abole to translate business needs to technical requirements and conversely communicate/translate technical needs/constraints to business teams
    • You can work independently within a complex and often ambiguous environment
    • You have the ability to handle multiple project workstreams, with proven success in synthesizing large data sets related to a wide variety of functional business problems
