    The Headlines:  

    The position of Toronto Brewery Quality & Food Safety Manager will report directly to the Director of Quality & Food Safety, with a dotted line to the Brewery General Manager. The Brewery Q&FS Manager will lead the quality agenda on the site, challenging the factory management team where necessary to ensure highest quality products meet the regulatory requirements as well as business needs. This person will also be responsible for ensuring Molson Coors’ systems and processes for managing risk to consumer safety and product quality are robust and are aligned with MCC and Global systems and standards.

    Responsibilities

    The Responsibilities:

    1. Lead the implementation of Quality & Food Safety programs at the site level to ensure compliance to global Q&FS standards and regulatory requirements. In addition, work with the site leadership team, regional leadership and Quality teams to ensure management and employees are aware, trained and capable to sustainably deliver Quality & Food safety.
    2. Ensure that all current Quality and Food Safety legal and Enterprise requirements are implemented on time in full in the brewery. Drive YOY improvement in Quality KPI's by leading or assisting operations teams in identifying root causes of gaps, developing SOP's which are focused on meeting quality standards & delivering food-safe products, conducting internal audits, and monitoring local progress against corrective actions.
    3. Support Supplier Quality assessments through accurate and objective data. Responsible for validation & verification on the introduction of any new product/equipment in the at the brewery level.
    4. Represent the site externally to local regulators and 3rd party accreditation agencies (eg. BRC) on matters of Quality & food Safety.
    5. Provide support where necessary to the Operational teams or other site Quality Managers with any exceptional quality or food safety related incidents or with interactions with enforcing authorities as appropriate and in accordance with incident classification and response protocols.
    6. In collaboration with Global Technical Governance, provide subject matter expertise and contribute to the development and revision of Q&FS standards and assessment of methods and technology.

     The Other Qualifications:

    • At least 5 years broad experience with high level of responsibility for Quality and Food Safety in the food/beverage industry
    • Experience managing direct reports and working in full autonomy
    • Must be a certified auditor and have practical experience in such capacity
    • Have expertise in Food Safety and expansive knowledge in HACCP
    • Ability to influence others & good communication skills
    • Motivated and proactive leader and able to lead change that is required in the area and work with sense of urgency to deliver the results
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to present data in an easily understandable manner and present solutions on the same presented data
    • Strongly Preferred: Experience in Quality & Food Safety management systems and compliance in the brewery industry. Well developed people leadership skills/leader that can inspire others; able to obtain optimal results from by yourself and others
