    The Headlines:

     

    As a member of the National Manufacturing Systems team, the Manufacturing Systems Engineer is responsible for the engineering, mangement and execution of “One-way” Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) across all modules on major transformational projects. This includes the expansion and implementation of our technology roadmap along with the continuous improvement of MES policies, processes and “One-way” corporate standards.

     

    The Manufacturing Systems Engineer is also required to provide both on-site and remote support to project leads as required to ensure that critical brewery and distribution centre systems attain their vertical start-up targets and sustain peformance.

    Responsibilities

    The Responsibilities:

    • Full accountability for the development, management and implementation of manufacturing execution systems on major transformational projects.
    • Lead the front-end engineering, detailed design and commissioning of  technologies such as Brewmaxx, EIT, distribution centre ASRS/AGV, case pick automation and GE Proficy.
    • Ownership of the supply chain’s short term/long term technology roadmap.
    • Cultivation of relationships with third-party suppliers and indirect reports.

    The Other Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience; engineering support for electrical, controls and automation and manufacturing execution systems within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
    • University degree in Engineering; Electrical Engineering/P.Eng certifications preferred.
    • Proven success with engineering, executing and managing complex projects with varying degress of manufacturing systems and IT components.
    • Proven people management skills through direct and indirect reporting relationships.
    • Technical understanding of electrical installations, power distribution, programming, information systems and network architectures.
    • You are confident and competent. You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships within the business
    • You are a motivated leader that can inspire others; you respect your commitments and are able to obtain optimal results from your team through respect and development
