    Role Overview:

    This individual will be a key contributor to the Commercial Finance team and on-going support of ZBB (Zero Based Budgeting) within the Commercial Organization. This individual will focus on providing a detailed reporting of marketing and channel spend, as well as preparing monthly ZBB Reporting Packages such as Media, Production, Merchandising, POS, etc. This will include actuals reporting, budget preparation, and monthly forecast updates of Canada's commercial spend.

    This individual will report to the Sr. Director – Marketing Finance and will be located at our 33 Carlingview Drive Toronto office.

    Responsibilities

    What You Will Be Accountable For

    1. Collaborating with marketing and sales business partners to deliver marketing and channel monthly spend actuals reporting and forecasting process.
    2. Analyze marketing and channel spend results vs previous forecast, vs prior year, and vs plan and provide insights on drivers for business partners and the leadership team.
    3. Support the annual planning process (AOP) for marketing and channel, which includes the preparation of ZBB templates, SAP loader files, etc.
    4. Preparation of monthly ZBB Packages (by spend type) for package owner reviews.
    5. Track individual packages and evaluate their effectiveness using relevant KPI's and metrics, while monitoring expense coding accuracy and forecast accuracy.
    6. Meet with business partners to review LE & ZBB Packages and deep dive into specific spend areas within M&S to identify cost drivers and aid in the analysis and improvement of spend efficiency
    7. Support Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI) work, being led by the global insights team, with detailed data inputs and analysis as required.

    • University Graduate with a Degree in Finance/Economics/Business/Accounting
    • An accounting designation or working towards the achieving of an accounting designation or MBA
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
    • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking capabilities
    • Self-starter, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, team player
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and also independently
