The Packaging Specialist is responsible for the identification and evaluation of new Packaging equipment technology and optimization of packaging line reliability and efficiency. Their skill set must include problem solving expertise, line design and layout knowledge and line operations improvement identification and adoption. They are a technical resource to the Operations, Procurement and other Molson Coors functions. The Packaging Operations Specialist leads packaging equipment technology searches and development processes and works with other Molson Coors functions and suppliers to identify and qualify packaging equipment. The role is responsible for the qualification of new equipment through global experience and research, rigorous scientific testing and approval.
The Packaging Operations Specialist role is both program and project based, working both individually and as part of a cross functional team with the breweries, other corporate functions and with global industry groups. Technology and techniques from new introductions, changes to current processes and practices will be shared and implemented in other production locations. The incumbent has responsibility for a continuous, active search for new technologies, methods, equipment, materials, and systems to drive improvement in packaging performance within the supply chain.
