    Role Overview:

     

    In the role of Sr. Financial Analyst - Supply Chain working in our Vancouver Brewery, you will be part of the Molson Coors Supply Chain Finance Team. In this role you will be responsible for the execution of key finance and accounting activities in Vancouver. This role will support the Brewery Controller, Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Finance Operations and the Brewery Operations team. This role will provide analysis and reporting of both performance and price variances within Supply Chain Financial Data (SCFD). The SFA plays a critical role in helping to evaluate cost savings initiatives and helping to maintain the controls surrounding capital assets and internal controls at the brewery.

     

    Molson Coors is currently undergoing a full-scale transition to it's new state-of-the-art brewery in the Fraser Valley.  This offers an exciting career opportunity to help establish a new brewery from its roots.     Responsibilities

    The Responsibilities:

    • Perform and/or manage HP performed, monthly and quarterly accounting and reporting activities
    • Ensure month-end & quarter-end close processes are completed timely & accurately Prepare financial period latest estimates + variance analysis and commentary for key variances from plan, LE & prior year
    • Prepare/review/record journal entries and accruals for period end and manage these deliverables by utilizing HP
    • Address day-to-day accounting/AP/AR challenges at the brewery
    • Perform/review balance sheet account reconciliations in accordance with MCBC's policies
    • Ensure all relevant policies for brewery operations are followed (including purchasing, payroll approvals, inventories, signature authorization, fixed assets etc.)
    • Deliver excise tax monthly remittances and manage tax authority relationships, audits & queries
    • Support SOX 302 certification process for Brewery Operations & drive compliance with SOX 404 internal controls
    • Assist in the control process review/recommendation of systems such as SAP and IVARA
    • Finance Super User Group (FSUG) Member and management reporting super user
    • Create detailed modeling, metrics & management reporting
    • Provide analysis/commentary with respect the performance and price variances
    • Financial support for development & evaluation of cost savings initiatives & continuous improvement initiatives
    • Play a key role in preparing the Brewery detailed budget , including, variance analysis and presentations
    • Assist with the preparation of the annual capital plan and capital project forecasting and NPV analysis of key projects
    • Operates as a proactive business partner to the Brewery Operations Team in providing financial support, stewardship of key processes & controls
    • Evaluation and analysis of brewery business initiatives, including proactive identification of opportunities and other KPI metric calculations, with recommendation/communication to key business partners
    • Assist with property tax appeals
    • Financial Acumen coaching to the business (training non finance personnel on financial reports, terms, policies, etc.  Finance support on special projects as required
