    We are looking for a National Finance Manager – Supply Chain, to work out of Brewery in Creemore. This role will report into our National Head of Finance in Toronto.



    Here’s What You’ll Do:

    This role is the key finance business lead at each of the Brewery and Distribution Centre locations across Canada.  This role will support, provide guidance and be a proactive leader within the leadership team.  This role will provide leadership, analysis and reporting of both the performance and price variances related to the total Six Pints Supply Chain nationally.


    There is a strong focus on driving and evaluating cost savings initiatives and helping to maintain the controls surrounding capital assets and internal controls at the Brewery and Distribution Centre locations.  The position will have P&L and Balance Sheet accountability for the total Six Pints Supply Chain nationally.



    Quality of the Financial Close & Internal Controls:

    • Ensure month-end and quarter-end close processes are completed timely and accurately
    • Prepare financial period latest estimates + variance analysis and commentary for key variances from plan, LE & prior year for COGS and Distribution
    • Prepare/record/review journal entries and accruals for period-end and manage these deliverables
    • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations in accordance with Six Pints policies
    • Ensure all relevant policies for brewery operations are followed (including purchasing, payroll approvals, inventories, signature authorization, fixed assets etc.)
    • Deliver excise tax monthly remittances and manage tax authority relationships, audits and queries for both Ontario and British Columbia
    • Lead quarterly SOX 302 certification process for all Supply Chain Operations and drive compliance with SOX 404 internal controls
    • Assist in the control process review and recommendation within financial systems
    • Lead inventory management with support and validation
    • Provide analysis and commentary with respect to performance and price variances
    • Standardize and share best practices across the National Finance Team


    Manage AOP Supply Chain Targets and Working Capital Metrics:

    • Provide leadership with respect to effectively managing with the Supply Chain Operations team both the performance and price variances within Supply Chain Financial reporting
    • Responsible for creating, evaluating and providing insights to the team
    • Financial lead in the development and evaluation of supply chain cost savings initiatives and continuous improvement initiatives
    • Prepare the detailed Supply Chain AOP, including variance analysis and presentations
    • Implement Supply Chain Financial Data (SCFD) reporting at Six Pints


    Driving Shareholder Value:

    • Operates as a proactive business partner in providing financial support, stewardship of key processes and controls, and leadership
    • Evaluation and analysis of supply chain business initiatives, including proactive identification of opportunities and other KPI metric calculations, with recommendation/communication to key business partners
    • Financial Acumen coaching to the business (training non finance personnel on financial reports, terms, policies, etc.)
    • Finance support on special projects as required


    Development of People:

    • Responsible for the leadership and development for 2 direct reports
    • Develop employee goals and Personal Development Plans
    • Part of the Supply Chain Management Team and supporting people development at local site



    • Requires a university degree and financial designation (CA, CMA, CGA, CPA etc.)
    • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving and communication skills
    • Energetic leadership and strong influencing abilities
    • Need to be flexible and customer service oriented
    • ERP Knowledge, preferably O’Beer and SAP
    • 5+ years manufacturing experience, including 3+ years at management level position
    • Consumer Packaged Goods industry experience
