    Responsibilities

    Here’s what you’ll do

    You will provide support to the Distribution Department, and assist in organizing and managing deliveries through communication with drivers and other dispatchers.

    Main Deliverables and Challenges:

     

    • Ensure all delivery loads depart on schedule
    • Works closely with Warehouse Supervisor and/or Transitional Coordinator
    • Maintain daily dispatch and tractor assignment sheet when new tractors are assigned
    • Identify discrepancies on daily dispatch and communicate changes in delivery schedule
    • Communicate with other dispatchers to provide special instructions regarding daily dispatch relative to dropping, hooking, and reorganizing
    • Ensure that the daily dispatch is accurate and complete at the end of day; checking for missed and/or delayed loads, dropped trailers, and rescheduled deliveries
    • Monitor empty glass, empty kegs, inbound and outbound plant loads
    • SAIIR Reporting (personal injuries), provide info packages to injured employees
    • Assist with the completion of collision reports and assist driver if necessary
    • Authorize drivers’ trip reports and monitor accurate completion
    • Park tractors and trailers for service
    • Rate and record invoices before sending for rebilling
    • Ensure trailers are cleaned inside and out in advance of departure time
    • Accurately maintain daily/weekly attendance book
    • Ensure appropriate hours of work according to the Ontario Ministry of Labour Employment Standards
    • Completion of required paper work for drivers and hired carriers with appropriate signatures on all copies of delivery bills, as well as, all return bills
    • Coach drivers to ensure the completion and submission of Daily Time and Trip Reports and submitted
    • Work within our SAP TM system

    Qualifications

    If you have the following…we want to hear from you!

    • High school diploma, or equivalent
    • Currently pursuing or recent graduate from Supply Chain/Logistics Management Program
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
    • Capable to work independently and in a team environment
    • Green patched safety footwear
    • Must provide a work related reference
    • Must be willing to work rotating shifts: 6-2/ 2-10/ 10-6
