The Headlines:

In the role of Finance Manager, Strategy Commercial working in Toronto you will be part of a high performing finance team working as the key business partner to various cross functional strategic project teams. You will be responsible for financial oversight and business case development for ad hoc projects spanning various areas of the business including (but not limited to) mergers & acquisitions, commercial, G&A, partner brands, continuous improvements and critical process overhauls.


This position reports to the Director of Strategy, NSR & 6 Pints and works closely with Senior Director of Strategy and team, along with Finance colleagues and cross-functional members of the organization.


The Responsibilities:

The core responsibilities include providing Finance Business Partnering support and performance management guidance in the following areas:

  • Work on a variety of M&A transactions in all stages along with delivering sustainable Profit After Capital Charge (PACC)
  • Communicate regulatory, financial information and complex strategic issues in a clear, concise and relevant manner to assist and guide decision-makers in corporate finance transactions
  • Ability to market services both to internal business partners and external clients, develop client networks and support efforts in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies
  • Review financial statements and notes to ensure proper understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and key drivers of variances
  • Review of key agreements / contracts during potential partnerships/acquisition phase
  • Partner with 6 Pints Finance team during execution phase to gain better understanding of control environment, finance processes and policies
  • Support 6 Pints and FP&A team in the Long-Range Planning and Annual Operating Planning process for these partnerships and acquisitions
  • Ensure adherence to the company's documented financial policies and procedures
  • Financial leadership role in the responsibility for the creation and accuracy of business cases related to ad hoc strategic projects and working cross-functionally within the business to provide financial acumen to business partners

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business/Commerce/Economics with an accounting designation or MBA.
  • You have at least 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance preferably within the firm and/or CPG company
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; working knowledge of SAP would be an asset.
