The Headlines:

In the role of Senior Manager, People Development Canada working in Toronto, ON you will be part of the Global People Development team. This role is responsible for deploying all learning interventions for the Canadian business unit.  The person will work with various HR functional team to identify talent capabilities and gaps and development framework to address, and help bring the global human resource long range strategy to life through the delivery of curriculum and tools. You will work with global Learning & Development leaders to provide input on local capability and learning needs.  Working alongside the Business Unit HR Business Partner (HRBP) teams to identify leadership gaps and provide development solutions.

This position reports to the Global Vice-President, People Development with a close working relationship with the Canadian business unit Chief People & Diversity Officer. Works closely with the business unit HRBP’s, the Total rewards leads, as well as all functions within the Molson Coors Canadian businesses.


The Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that the Business Unit people development strategies are addressed and aligned with global core and functional learning, leadership development strategies   Provides business unit input to influence global strategies.  
  • Ensures that Business Unit needs are met through L&D curriculums to include courses, programs, and tools.  
  • Responsible for deployment and logistics associated with core and leadership L&D while ensuring that the delivery meets global standards.
  • Serves as a champion for employee development and a business unit lead to the diversity and talent mgmt. processes.
  • Manages, schedules, and assesses all regional trainers ensuring quality and consistent delivery.
  • Provide localization support for region as needed. Including, deployment, language needs, segmentation needs, etc.

  • You are an analytic & innovative thinker with a successful record executing and delivering learning and/or development programs
  • You have a deep knowledge of a variety of adult learning and development approaches, processes and tools
  • You have the ability to provide talent management leadership and strong capability development
  • You are an individual who thinks strategically and is able to codify the long term plan in area of expertise
  • You are a transformational leader who serves as visible change agent
  • You have experience working in a global and multi-cultural organization within a matrix environment having run a large department and budget
  • You demonstrate effective collaboration without formal authority
  • You are able to translate theory into strategy and strategy into actionable plans
  • You have 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in human resources, with a preference in the area of learning and development
  • You have prior experience working as an HR business partner, HR generalist or OD preferred
  • You are Bilingual (French)- preferred
