We are currently looking for a Sr. Asset Care Specialist in Toronto

 

The Sr. Asset Care Specialist, from a national perspective, will work with the asset care resources and business unit managers in each of the five Canadian breweries to provide overall support for the implementation and execution of Asset Care in order to deliver a high level of cost effective equipment reliability and asset preservation.

 

You will be responsible for implementing programs, operating standards, business processes, and cost reduction initiatives within the breweries that will increase asset reliability and reduce maintenance costs. Other responsibilities of this role will be governing the execution of the Progressive Maintenance pillar as it pertains to World Class Supply Chain (WCSC), as well as tracking asset performance and cost through acquisition of data and key performance indicators acquired from our CMMS, LMS, GMS and SAP applications and systems.

Responsibilities

The Responsibilities:

  • Implement strategies that accelerate and improve current Asset Care practices and processes to improve equipment performance, reliability and lower repair costs.
  • Leading Asset Care practices that will focus on reaching operational excellence, implementing strategies to increase the skill level across our National Asset Care resources, and enhancing our maintenance capabilities to deliver improved equipment reliability decreasing our repair and maintenance costs.
  • Support the implementation of the World Class Supply Chain (WCSC) Progressive Maintenance Pillar, across the Canadian breweries as defined in the breweries respective WCSC plans and the breweries “Must Win Battles”.
  • Govern the success of the execution and implementation of the WCSC Progressive Maintenance pillar by working with brewery teams using the WCSC methodology to develop and deliver on action plans.
  • Support the implementation of the Global Asset Care initiative as it relates to the Asset Care transformation across the 5 breweries in Canada.
  • Analyze operational data and equipment performance history to deliver improvements in critical Asset Care related metrics including: unplanned downtime, PM compliance, schedule compliance, Mean-Time-Between-Failures, and maintenance related costs.
  • Leverage value from an Enterprise Asset Management System (EAM) for tracking work orders, planned/predictive maintenance, spare parts inventory/sharing, MRO management, and maintenance history of plant equipment on a National basis.
  • Be a key team member in the development, implementation, and roll-out of the Global EAM solution.
  • Support Supply Chain Network of the Future (SNOF) by ensuring Early Equipment Management (EEM) is adhered to and that asset maintenance strategies and spare parts are defined and implemented prior to the asset going into service
  • Work with Project Managers to ensure that Asset Care requirements are met during all stage gates of the Brilliant Execution for Capital Projects (BE4CP) process.
  • Work with Technical Service Director/ Manager, to maintain Asset Care key performance indicators, publish results in Asset Care scorecard. Verify the integrity of Asset Care cost information as it relates to material, labour and contracted services within the expense budget
  • Working with operations leaders to ensure equipment/asset availability by supporting with systemic reliability issues, participating in Root Cause Analysis activities, daily operational review meetings, and other activities that will increase reliability while improving plant and line performance.

Qualifications

The Other Qualifications:
  • Engineering Or Engineering Technologist diploma or Certified Skilled Trade (mechanical or electrical) with 5+ years related experience.
  • 5 years related experience in production maintenance environment
  • Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance and/or Total Productive Maintenance concepts and their implementation
  • Key understanding and use of Key Performance Indicators from an Asset Care perspective
  • Strong background of driving change in a unionized environment.
  • Experience with the management and implementation of capital projects
  • Ability to work in and lead teams
  • Strong coaching / facilitating / communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Process and detail oriented
