The Headlines:

 

In the role of Building and Infrastructure Engineering & Execution Lead working in Toronto or Montreal, you will be part of the Industrial Services and Support Team, this role is part of the Project Engineering and Execution team for the new greenfield project in the Montreal. In this role, you will be responsible to oversee and manage the Packaging work stream. In this role, you will have complete (end to end) accountability and management for all engineering and capital work streams within the building and infrastructure for the new greenfield construction for Project.  This includes accountability for complete development and detailed architecture, engineering, permitting, site preparation, construction, site services/utilities and final occupancy sign-off on the new facility, building and infrastructure work streams. You will be accountable to maintain strict and effective adherence to all Molson Coors project processes (Brilliant Execution), Steerco, Project Updates, relevant Molson Coors Canada policies and project cost control which includes timely forecasting and reporting of LE's and adherence to financial controls. This position reports into the Director, Engineering and Execution.

Responsibilities

The Responsibilities:

  • Full Accountability (end to end) for the building and infrastructure modules within the new greenfield brewery including engineering, construction and final occupancy of the facility.
  • Lead the project module from development stage, capital approval, detailed engineering, construction/installation, early access and final occupancy and performance sign-off. Responsible for the support of operational transition, early equipment management and operational readiness required to ensure a vertical start-up.
  • Accountable for the building and infrastructure project budget including all budget cost control, LE forecasting (monthly, quarterly, annually), change order management, payment schedules and final payment sign-off.
  • Responsible for the building and infrastructure engineering and execution team for the new greenfield brewery.
  • Accountable for building and infrastructure team's delivery and compliance with the project schedule for the new greenfield brewery project schedule and milestones. This includes all direct and indirect project milestones related to the overall project schedule.
  • Full accountability of Brilliant Execution for Capital Project process including early equipment management that will deliver a vertical start-up. This includes working and influencing his/her business partners (regionally and globally) to achieve joint success.
  • Participate in the vendor selection process: RFQ’s, contract negotiation and Supply Agreements (performance guarantees, pricing, timelines, liquidated damages, etc.)
  • Address supplier issues directly with the general contractor or architect or with the Molson Coors Procurement team

Qualifications

The Qualifications:

 

  • University Degree, P.Eng. or equivalent experience in building engineering and design with construction management. Manufacturing industry experience would be an asset.
  • Experience with high speed beverage packaging engineering and execution project background is an asset.
  • 8-15 years of experience in building design and construction project engineering and/or project engineering within a manufacturing environment with focus on base building infrastructure and/or manufacturing project engineering and design with project execution and delivery experience.
  • You have demonstrated experience in delivering highly interdependent and complex projects within the manufacturing and/or building engineering and construction environment. Experience in the new or upgrade brewery/beverage/manfuacturing/warehouse projects perferred.
  • You have an understanding of brewery or distribution operational performance metrics, operating best practices and ways for working, warehouse technology and logistics expertise, understanding of construction and equipment installation best practices, facilities design, permitting, construction and major site infrastructure, understanding of construction and project EH&S requirements would all be assets.
  • You have excellent communication skills, demonstrated people management experience & skills, and effective techniques and experience for positive conflict management are required.
