The Headlines:

 

In the role of Senior Manager, Distribution Quebec Regions working in Quebec City, QC you will be part of the Canadian Distribution team. Manage the distribution of Molson products for a region by ensuring the effective management and optimal development of the operations network within budget, supervising coordinators and / or Managers and distribution dispatchers, ensuring high quality customer service from warehouse to licensed by establishing trusting relationships with employees, sales and management, while maximizing its operations area.

This position reports to Senior Director of Distribution and works closely with many teams throughout the Supply Chain and Operations functions within Quebec.

Responsibilities

The Responsibilities:

  • Improve productivity and minimize storage costs, order preparation and delivery, while meeting the needs of internal and external customers and work teams, optimizing the different working methods, supporting dispatchers for making roads and ensuring the update of the database, ensuring that managers under his supervision enforces quality criteria established in warehouses and in the market.
  • Coordinate the management of the company assets (ODM, trucks, delivery accessories, etc..) to ensure their optimal use, recommending the purchase, ensuring their availability, ensuring their compliance and ensuring that users are trained to use them. Make sure you have high quality staff, well trained, to compensate for the seasonal volume fluctuation and to ensure the reception. Recruit and select managerial employees as part of his team to ensure a quality succession for future years.
  • Be an agent of change by making follow ups and coaching to employees under his supervision with them finding new ways of doing things, requiring them to make informed decisions, instilling exemplary rigor in terms of health and safety by raising awareness to transaction costs and the importance of quality in all aspects of operations.
  • Ensure the application of the collective agreement and MCBC policies promoting good relations with employees and the union, applying disciplinary measures, if necessary, by ensuring fairness in the application of disciplinary measures through his territory, and communicating issues (grievances, disciplinary notices, etc.) to the labor relations manager.
  • Contribute to the preparation of budgets and monthly monitoring in collaboration with the Office Manager, analyzing results and performing monthly expenditure control (followed by credit hours, overtime and allowing or making payment of bills justified).

 

Qualifications

The Other Qualifications:

 

  • You possess a proven track record of achievement in a logistical planning and customer service environment.
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities. You act with appropriate urgency to various market events and trends that require a quick turnaround in plans and strategy
  • You are a motivated leader that can inspire others; you respect your commitments and are able to obtain optimal results from your team through respect and development
  • You have ssupervisory experience in a unionized environment
  • You can build strong, incisive customer relations
  • You have experience managing or leading business with a unionized workforce (preferrably within warehouse or transport operations)
  • You have a university degree related to the management of operations, or any combination of training and valuable experience
  • You have 5--10 years’ experience in distribution management/FMCG Supply Chain experience with a distribution, logistics or customer service background
  • Computer skills and working knowledge of software Microsoft Office and SAP
  • You are fully bilingual ( English/French)
  • Preferably up have experience in logistical planning and customer service
