The Headlines:


We are looking for a Senior Manager, Demand Planning to work in our Toronto office.

Lead at team of regional demand planners to establish a credible single number, customer driven consensus forecast by facilitating reconciliation of the inputs from the Sales, Marketing and statistical modeling that improves the SKU level forecast accuracy and enables orders to be shipped complete, while preventing excess inventory holding costs.


The Responsibilities:

  • To establish the Consensus Forecast by facilitating reconciliation of the Bottom-up and
  • Top-down forecast inputs with the sales and marketing teams
  • Facilitate and participate in the monthly Demand Review Process as part of Integrated Business Planning
  • To assure that the Consensus Forecast logically reflects marketing and sales actions
  • for the next 18 to 24 months
  • Review existing processes and procedures and be team lead for the demand planning group, driving recommendations for proposed processes and procedures with respect to sales forecasting & demand planning
  • Ensure that the best possible estimate of true customer demand is released to the other Supply Planning processes, on a weekly (or if necessary – daily) basis


The Other Qualifications…

  • Bachelors Degree from a four year College or University
  • APICS or other professional Supply Chain designation
  • Minimum of 5-8 years Planning/Forecasting/Inventory/Supply Chain/Distribution and/or Logistics experience
  • Experience in developing and implementing processes and structure with respect to sales forecasting and production planning
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and motivate
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have a process oriented thinking approach with strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of SAP and BW
  • Excellent analytical, organization and time management skills - enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to make decisions, control and influence large groups of people including top management
  • Prior experience managing people or project work managing teams
  • Bilingual, French / English is an asset
