The Headlines:

 

In the role of Senior Manager, Category Solutions working in Toronto you are the senior business partner to the field sales teams in the West, Ontario and Atlantic.  You will be accountable to provide expertise and leadership in the establishment of a Category Solutions resource center that utilizes fact-based data (consumer and shopper insights, business and financial indicators, research) to develop insights-driven strategies and recommendations that support the achievement of MCC goals and objectives (profit, volume, share and category health). Customer -facing/customer management (Cat Man) for Ontario/Atlantic, oversee English Canada

Responsibilities

The Responsibilities:

  • Lead development of category and channel strategies & standards which reflect best-in-class merchandising strategies (distribution, shelving, display, promotion) and annual plans that can drive incremental revenue in the category with our top retail and on-premise partners and channels.
  • Identify tools, processes and central solutions (ONE WAY, national) for product assortment optimization, in-store space optimization/utilization, in-store merchandising (Cold Room optimization, etc.)
  • Lead the identification, development and dissemination of Channel Standards & Shelf Strategies, Cat Man Principles, Selling Tools (including planogram tools) to be used across all markets (One Way)
  • Develop Customer Selling Story templates for Category Solutions, that will be tailored by each regional market and adapted to customer-specific business opportunities.
  • Establish credibility as industry leader in category solutions by gaining strategic customer partnerships through demonstration of category & shopper expertise and developing strategic insights (Customer, Category, and Competitor) to be leveraged in the selling process to grow the category for the customer, led by MCC. This would be accomplished by identifying key Pilot Projects with key strategic customers, working in conjunction with the MDA region teams and Customer & Shopper Insights Team. Tight test and measure parameters in place to roll out successful initiatives to other regional markets. Manage 3rd party suppliers/agencies for project work

  • You are an analytical thinker. Leveraging data from a variety of sources and synthesizing them into actionable business building recommendations.
  • You are technologically savvy. You have strong knowledge of modern technology, tools and information trends (advanced data analytics, space planning software, image recognition, Etc.).
  • You are serious about results, and take pride in a proven track record in delivering.
  • You are a motivated leader that can inspire others; you respect your commitments and are able to obtain optimal results from your team through respect and development
  • You have 10 years progressive experience, Category Management expertise, Sales/Customer experience, Category solutions/Insights experience
  • You have Creative and innovative thinking to challenge the expected in our promotional and placement strategies at retail
  • You exhibit our core values and demonstrate our Molson Coors Success Factors
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or relevant field;
