We are looking for a Manager, Global Trademarks and Intellectual Property who will be responsible for maintaining the global IP portfolio for Molson Coors Brewing Company.


The Responsibilities:

    • Executing global IP strategies, through the registration of trademarks, copyright, patents and domains, working with outside counsel as required. Reviewing new product and promotional concepts to identify IP issues and to ensure that necessary protection is in place
    • Providing counsel and advice to brand marketing and innovation teams on IP related issues. Managing prosecution of international IP filings from filing to grant. Managing annual renewals and requirements for declarations of use and annuities relating to all IP assets worldwide.
    • Advising internal stakeholders on status of current trademark protection, and assisting stakeholders in compliance with IP policies and procedures. Providing litigation support – corralling evidence and information from employees and company records, and corresponding with outside counsel
    • Handling request from consumers for use of intellectual property assets. Conducting on-line surveillance of known commercial websites (such as e-Bay) to monitor and resolve infringement of the company’s trademarks
    • Managing brand licensing and anti-counterfeiting activities.





  • Undergraduate Degree - registered as a Trademark Agent in Canada
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience at a trademark agent from a law firm or corporation.
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities. You act with appropriate urgency to various internal customer or IT events and trends that require a quick turnaround in plans and strategy.
  • You are confident and competent. You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships within the business, and our suppliers
  • You’ll use well developed communication and relationship skills to both educate and influence at multiple levels within the organization.
  • You are serious about delivering results, and take pride in a proven track record of delivering through effectively managed high value outsourced services.
