The Headlines


In the role of IT Application Support Manager working in Toronto, ON you will be part of the global IT Service Operations team. You will be accountable for internal and outsourced service provider delivered IT application support services within our Canada business unit.  You will ensure IT services delivered to Molson Coors Canada are both efficient & effective, enabling Molson Coors Canada to be the first choice of its customers and consumers.   


IT services for Molson Coors Canada are delivered through multiple outsourced service providers. These IT services support critical business operations and directly affect make-ship-sell beer processes, as such you’ll have significant responsibility in ensuring the services delivered from those outsourced providers operate without issue.


This position reports to Senior Manager, Global IT Application Support and works across geographical and organizational lines with other support and service management colleagues to ensure IT services delivered to Molson Coors globally are both efficient & effective.



The Responsibilities:

  • Manage provision of outsourced services: Responsible for managing relationships with service providers to ensure the effective running of IT applications in Canada, ensuring consistent adherence to and proper execution of agreed policies and procedures by service providers.        
  • Oversee governance processes: Oversees activities associated with the monitoring, analysis and reporting of application service provider performance versus service level agreements.
  • Maintain Application Availability: Responsible to address service delivery application outages, incidents and ensure proactive plans are in place to identify and fix root cause analysis findings, following agreed change control and release management processes. Co-ordinate with Environment Management the patching and maintenance of the application portfolio under management.                           
  • Point of escalation for the business: Escalation point for IT service delivery concerns from the business and IT management for a Business Unit. Accountable to ensure all Business Unit business impacts are identified, discussed and communicated to the appropriate leadership teams as part of the service delivery and reporting cycle.                                    
  • Ensure applications are transitioned effectively: Shared responsibility for the process of management, monitoring and prioritizing Business Unit application enhancement requests. Works closely with project teams, application and service transition management to ensure that new services, applications, projects brought into the production environment are supportable and do not adversely impact the Business Unit's critical core processes and systems.

The Other Qualifications

  • Post secondary experience is required or the equivalent work experience.
  • 8 – 10 years IT experience (4-6 to be application development or delivery and 2-3 years people management or experience with delivering through outsources service).
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities. You act with appropriate urgency to various internal customer or IT events and trends that require a quick turnaround in plans and strategy.
  • You are confident and competent. You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships within the business, and our suppliers
  • You’ll use well developed communication and relationship skills to both educate and influence at multiple levels within the organization.
  • You are serious about delivering results, and take pride in a proven track record of delivering through effectively managed high value outsourced services.
  • You are a motivated leader that can inspire others; you respect your commitments and are able to obtain optimal results through others.
