Role Overview:

The Senior Manager Commercial Finance, Consolidation and Reporting is a member of the Commercial Finance Leadership Team and business partners with the Commercial Finance teams to provide financial support on overall Molson Coors Canada region and brand performance. It is also a key partner to the FP&A team to provide results and pro-active analysis of the Canadian BU profitability. It provides the oversight of the total consolidated results on actual and forecast basis and consolidated supply chain results. This role is supported by two GBS Analysts and is responsible for providing ongoing leadership, development and professional guidance to the team.

The Senior Finance Manager provides guidance to the team on items such as P&L reporting and FP&A and process improvement. It requires a dynamic approach as there are numerous functions of finance that the team oversees.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • This role is the key conduit between Commercial Finance and FP&A. Manages the consolidation & reporting process of the Canadian business units Regional and Brand P&L’s within the Annual Operating Plan ("AOP") and Long Range Plan ("LRP"). Analysis of results to ensure alignment with corporate short and long-term objectives.
  • Provide leadership with reports and scorecard to understand Commercial performance related to volume, NSR, M&S and Sales G&A. Communicate material changes in results and to identify business opportunities to optimize results. Support leadership with reporting and score carding
  • Drive the monthly Commercial Leadership Team results review. Provide both actual and forecast results and analysis and deliver any key insights to the business to optimize the Canadian BU profitability.
  • Provide timely and accurate analysis of monthly, quarterly, and full year regional and brand financial results to finance business partners. Consolidate and communicate drivers for actual performance vs. plan or forecast and liaise with finance business partners to proactively put plans in place to achieve financial and strategic goals. 
  • Leverage standard reporting tools (such as Regional and Brand P&Ls, Scorecards) to enable the Commercial teams to have a holistic view of the business and hold itself & others accountable for delivery of strategy and performance. Liaise with other finance functions (such as Supply Chain Finance) to ensure consistent and accurate reporting and analysis of financial information.
  • Manage the LRP & AOP process and monthly consolidated business unit forecasting & reporting analysis process. Providing variances and financial highlights on a total company, regional and brand perspective. Evaluate business trending to identify opportunities and risks for senior management
  • Manage the consolidated supply chain reporting process. Responsible for integration of brewery and corporate supply chain reporting results into consolidated package, with total annual spend of ~$1B. Analysis of monthly business drivers and provide results for local business stakeholders and global headquarter reporting.
  • Provide ongoing support for policy and internal process improvements across the Commercial Finance team. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement with a change management mindset. Oversight of Commercial Finance BPO process.
  • Coach and mentor two GBS analysts. Key point of contact for GBS roles supporting Commercial Finance. Build and maintain strong relationships between GBS and Commercial Finance.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Business / Commerce with an accounting designation or MBA
  • 7-10+ years of work experience in finance within CPG industry
  • People leadership experience, with strong track record focused on development
  • Ability to thrive in an often non-structured role, adapting to no priorities as they arise
  • Ability to deal with change, strong and energetic leadership skills to effectively lead new initiatives across the organization, set direction and drive for results.
  • Strong communication skills in order to work with, and present to all levels within the organization.
  • Attracts, engages, develops and rewards talent.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to deal with various functional levels
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; working knowledge of SAP would be an asset
