The Headlines....


In the role of Sr. Project Engineer and Utilities Industrial Support working in Toronto you will be part of our National Engineering and Asset Care Team.


As a key member of the National Engineering and CAPEX team, the Sr. Project Engineer will be accountable for major capital projects (>$2M and/or strategic in nature) from concept, through feasibility into detailed design, execution, start-up and project close out. The Sr. Project Engineer will be the primary engineering and design support of Canadian Supply Chain.


The Sr. Project Engineer will manage the engineering work process and associated project team, which is comprised of a Supply Chain cross-functional team (operations, industrial support, compliance, planning/scheduling and R&D). This will include responsibilities such as development and manage of project timelines, capital budgets and cost management, stakeholder management and project reporting. This position reports to the Director of Engineering and CAPEX at Molson Coors Canada


The Responsibilities:

CAPEX Projects

  • Oversee and manage the engineering responsibility for major capital projects from concept, through feasibility, detailed design, execution, start-up and project close out..
  • Coordinating the scope definition and preparing the work breakdown structure for major project work packages
  • Coordinating and controlling project work packages scope and approval process. Ensuring compliance and alignment with overall execution plan
  • Coordinating the preparation and maintenance of master and working project schedules and controlling schedule changes, with some support from others.
  • Responsible for overseeing the master program/project budget. This includes coordinating the project budgeting process and capital cash flow forecastin
  • Responsible for deploying Molson Coors best practice in project management (Brilliant Execution)
  • Responsible for reviewing overall project objective including performance, operational efficiency and quality
  • Coordinating with project engineers, project owners, functional leads and stakeholders on the investigation and resolution of program/project issues.
  • Responsible for the actual cost and schedule analysis relative to plans, the calculation of standard project metrics, the reporting of issues, tracking of execution team actions and the preparation of monthly project reports/scorecard.
  • Supports the preparation of project tools, templates, and procedures related to project planning and controls.
  • Ensuring projects comply with all local safety, regulatory requirements within the region or municipality in which the project will be deployed


Other Qualifications –

  • You possess a proven track record of achievement in a project engineering and capital projects within a high speed, high volume manufacturing environment. Consumer packaged goods industry experience preferred.
  • You have demonstrable evidence of driving World Class Supply Initiatives to deliver on challenging objectives
  • You are confident and competent. You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships within the business
  • You are a motivated leader that can inspire others; you respect your commitments and are able to obtain optimal results from your team through respect and development
  • You exhibit our core values and demonstrate our Molson Coors Success Factors
  • You have a degree in Engineering with a P.Eng designation or working towards one.
  • You have at least 5 years’ experience working in a project engineering or process engineering or equivalent position within brewing industry or in a consumer packaged goods manufacturing environment
