The Headlines:

 

Reporting to the Director Total Rewards, the Manager Compensation & Benefits will work from Montreal or Toronto and will be accountable for planning, design, implementation and administration of various compensation and benefits programs. These responsibilities include: researching market trends and pay levels, developing communication and training materials and conducting analysis to proactively support HR business partners and Molson Coors Canada’ leaders. May also be responsible for supporting defined client groups on day-to-day activities and providing consultation on compensation and benefits matters as well as appropriate governance to adhere to policies and guidelines. Partners across the global Molson Coors Brewing Company (MCBC) total rewards teams to ensure alignment in program and policy execution.

 

Additional responsibilities may include ownership of mobility programs, outplacement and employee recognition. In addition, the manager will actively participate in the support of other traditional benefits programs like health, dental, STD/LTD, Life insurance and pension

Responsibilities

  • Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures to design and recommend plan revision as well as new plans which are cost effective and consistent with compensation trends and MCBC compensation philosophy and Molson Coors Canada business objectives.
  • Ensures base and incentive (short and long term incentives) compensation programs are internally equitable and externally competitive – and still uphold the guidelines and philosophies set forth for the global enterprise.
  • Supports and work closely with HR business partners to ensure that programs are properly implemented; may also occasionally be called upon to provide assistance to employees and managers.
  • Input and implement MCBC market surveys strategy as it related to Molson Coors Canada business. Manage Molson participation in market surveys to ensure surveys are applicable to jobs and scope cuts, makes best use of available results.
  • Lead compensation-related projects which involve revision, development and/or re-design of existing compensation programs. This includes project management and partnering with appropriate internal and external resources.

 

  • Manage the annual compensation cycle, including data analysis, communication material development, coordination of information in our HR and payroll, and support to managers and HR business partners throughout the process.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation on pay equity, if applicable, and complete submission and maintenance.
  • Provides advice to team and HR business partners on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation and job evaluation including the design of creative solutions for specific compensation-related issues.
  • Provides analytical support for a wide range of compensation issues and projects designed to support business strategies.
  • Manage and coordinate activities related to HR programs; including but not limited to : mobility programs and employee recognition.
  • Partner with the Director to design and deliver/present employee communication and training relating to any compensation and benefits programs.
  • Attracts leads, manages and mentors team of employees and external partners in such a way to ensure retention, development, and superior performance of talented people.
